Since Chris and I got married this past summer I have been busy busy busy with projects to make our little apartment feel more homey. Chris can back me up when I say that while starting all of these projects has been fun and dandy...finishing these projects has taken me quite a while. In fact, the very first one I started is still not quite done.

For one of my projects I decided to whip out some paint and tap into my artistic side...please excuse the phone pictures for I have misplaced the USB cord that goes to my camera.

I decided that an orchid, being delicate and dainty, would offset this...

Haha I never thought I would decorate with an angry tiki man face, but Chris loves him and he has actually grown on me.

please excuse the mess...

So...uh...I am not very good with web design or creativity. Basically, I am mentally challenged when it comes to anything dealing with HTML/CSS/PXQ*RES&^#....blah, blah, blah. I try and I try to make cool fonts and pictures and crap and I end up royally screwing everything over.

The gist of what I am trying to say is that if you come to my blog and see everything in shambles please be patient with me for I am trying my very hardest to become a novice web designer!

neat and cheap diy

Hello there, folks! I've been brainstorming for cute decorating ideas for the apartment, and, because we are not allowed to paint, I have really wanted to put some fun and colorful things on the walls.

Yesterday I stumbled upon a cute little project that was ridiculously EASY and CHEAP!! Since these two words are totally awesome and some of my favorites - especially when combined - I thought I would try it out!

So I gathered up my supplies, got my creative juices flowing, and....

TA-DA!!!

Easy, modern, cute, simple, unique...just my sort of thing! I love seeing it hanging in the house!

Since moving into our apartment, Chris and I have been trying to put the house together. Finally, we are starting to see some progress!
